The Chermiti signing has to be one of the oddest in our recent history- and that takes some doing. Committing that level of transfer fee on a young striker who the manager has no intention of giving any minutes, even when his more senior players can’t score, when we are breaking financial rules. Like so many aspects of modern day Everton, utterly baffling.

Him, Dobbin, Patterson. It’s like where young players come to kill their careers before they even start. I fully believe if Branthwite hadn’t been at PSV, he’d be in the same position.
