Last 2 weeks we've been beaten easily by 2 of the also ranks in the league. It's awful. Our starting 11 should be good enough to beat both of them.

Possibly this attitude contributed to the situation?
It's clear bottom can match top in this bizzare season. You earn points not get awarded them because you're 'special'.
