No - but I've never played on a pitch with him (think I could do a better job sometimes though).

Keep in mind that the squad has a huge say in who is the captain/vice-captain... the people who train and play with them every day.

He must be like (to use who you said mate) Maldini in training then because I don't see it out on the pitch.
