Newcastle fixture change

have you contacted any media outlets (obviously not sky)? bad publicity usually has a reaction.
Because EITC are the ultimate benefactors my lad is letting matters lie for now.
The decision has been made and the dreaded small print T&Cs are in play.
All this in case Arsenal MIGHT qualify for the EL semi.

My last comment on the matter.
A steadfast refusal by the club to entertain any sort of compromise on the money paid for my grandaughter being mascot and being unable to undertake the position due to the fixture change.
Gone down in my estimation Everton.
you need to shame them on social media mate . Ask the prominent Everton twitter accounts to retweet it . Nobody likes bad publicity

Yes, I imagine the club would be legally obliged to refund tickets sold for a game on a certain date which was arbitrarily changed at short notice Joey.

It is the people who have already bought train or plane tickets are the ones going be out of pocket as their travel bargains are non refundable
Wrong. I had this argument with the Club several years ago when they first changed the T&Cs. They insisted it was legal. I'm still not convinced. I just gave up in the end.

That is where they always have you.....they just grind you down in the end :(

My own view is that people who buy a single ticket for a specific game, as opposed to STH, and that game is changed at very short notice would win a court case if it was feasible to take such an action.

There is a precedent in Contract Law whereby a contract is nulled and voided due to the “non occurrence of a specific event” and the Barcodes fixture certainly falls into that category.

But @Joey66 says his brother is being refunded anyway......so the club seem to be following this doctrine.

Was your dispute concerning a season ticket?

I think we are very definitely powerless in this circumstance and they will, quite legally, not refund us a portion of our outlay for a re-arranged fixture :(

And mine, Tom.

This is a scandal.

I just got an email saying I'm getting a £5 voucher to spend in their online shop as compensation for moving this game. I had the day off, and now looks unlikely I'll get the Monday off too short notice. I wonder what I can spend the fiver on?

Not sure what you can get for a fiver, in fact if you buy something for ten quid its going to cost you just to use the vouncher, nice gesture but a pointless one
