Equally, there are far worse owners and situations than Mike Ashley out there.

They cannot do much about this 'net spend' as they spent a fortune (especially on wages) to encourage lower level Premier League or Championship players (Gayle, Ritchie, Atsu etc etc) to get them out of the Championship but they only look at transfer fees

Not the debt, the wage bill and all other things. But it was hilarious when it happened to Sunderland wasn't it - they laughed and they mocked the mackems for refusing to turn up, for the empty seats, for the ground being in disrepair

Now they're doing the same, not going, complaining of mould and dirty stadiums. But it's different when it's them isn't it.
