Some negativity in this thread, same as last season, then what happened
A lot of fans deserve the likes of Lampard and Dyche, they slag Moyes off because he’s raised expectations then give him no credit for actually rising our expectations. They don’t seem to see the difference between managing a team on footy manager and managing a team in a league where hundreds of millions are at stake, and you can’t just throw unproven kids into the PL.

Personnel selection is immaterial if the tactics aren't right.

Not just against Newcastle away either, but we need to get bodies behind the ball every game and break as best we can at the right times and play for set pieces.

We have to play that way to pick up points because we have a manager who cant coach passing football and carrying the ball is not trusted anymore...and that happened before Grealish got injured and Ndiaye lost form.

We're a club in search of a style and will remain so until this manager is gone.

451 every game it should be under Moyes.
Think Davey's checklist selection plan will be:
1.Overall goal is to 'Out-big' Newcastle, we conceded from corners at HD so four CB's is a certainty
2. KDH is our creator so keep him at #10 always
3. Garner and Gana work great in MF away from home
4. Tarky is the on-field captain so plays every game
5. George, Dibling, Rohl, Iroegbunam are all young and need to 'improve'
6. Aznou - insert picture of Carlo when asked about Garbutt
7. One of Barry or Beto starts up front but it really doesnt matter as we wont work to fit their style and they are both crap anyway.
8. We don't have a RB at the club worthy of playing so its always an out of position player there.

Predicted predictable XI

Pickford
O'Brien - Tarkowski - Keane - Branthwaite
Gana - Garner
Armstrong - KDH - N'Diaye
Barry

Predicted predictable outcome 2-0
although I pray for a 1-1
That will definitely be the team! He’s made it clear he’s petrified of the mighty Newcastle so I’m expecting our excellent away form to come to an end tomorrow!

It's so stale.

A fresh pair eyes from a manager with half a clue how to put a team together - and above all get them passing to each other - transforms the situation almost straight away.

The thing is though there's not a lot of passion to keep Moyes or get shut of him. He's managed in 12 months to put the club into a state of torpor.

For me, he's a conman. His real talent is getting the media onside to perpetrate the myth that we'd be knackered without him.

Hmm what a load of nonsense. Fans want to see progress and a style of play that will gain rewards in the future (or at least a plan which isn't archaic and limited in nature) Instead we have a manager who is regimented in his thinking which offers no scope for advancement beyond mid table and no cup successes. As for not being able to throw unproven kids into the PL Wolves have done it with Mane and he's already attracting the big boys
