Btw, the thing that amuses me most about Baines' form is that we've all known how good he's been for the past couple of years, not just the past few months. He's been the best left back in the league for the past 2 and a bit seasons but of course the hardened top-4-centric media are only now coming round to this idea.

In a way I hope there isn't as much spotlight on him but balls to it, week after week teams desperately try to stop him and week after week they fail miserably, he's obscenely good at what he does. One of the very best left backs in the entire world, and he's ours. Don't underestimate the part Pienaar plays in it as well, as his understanding with Baines is second to none in this league in terms of a left side.

If we could only now get Coleman and Mirallas consistently playing together on the right.

No Cabaye, Ben Arfa or Ba. Their average players are very average.

Oh, and also a drop off in form from the likes of Tiote. Was a good player for them but quite simply hasn't been this year.

Even reliable players like Coloccini have been iffy for them. Mix that in with injuries and questionable tactics (e.g. Cisse on the wing all the time) then it's a recipe for disaster. They'll be fine, though.

I don't think they'll go down, there are worse teams than them.

Pardew will get sacked at the end of the season and someone big name but gash will get the job.
