I don't have enough posts yet but:

Best left back in the world!! Love it!! have been arguing with a mate for some time, and this is just f*cking beautiful!! Love him!!

Pardew's back with his "couldn't fault the lads" speech. So who's taking the blame then Alan? Eat that sh1t sandwich now, there's a good boy. Next season you'll be in a "Different League" where you can give the likes of Barnsley a footballing lesson.

He got caught out and spun all game. Had to drag down Ameobi at one point because he couldn't live with him, late on he got blatantly lucky when he was spun once again and the ref gave him a free kick (he just flung himself over). Got battered for pace and in the air - lost pretty much every single header he went near all game.

It's actually easier to point out the stuff he actually did properly. One header in the second half and a block on a shot. That's it.

He was grim. And to blame Distin for that goal... not sure what goal you're talking about, because it can't be the one Newcastle scored against Everton tonight.
All you seem to be saying is he got spun all game but with no specific examples.

Distin should never have gone to the ball that Heitinga was going for. He left Baines exposed. One goes, one drops - standard practice.

Re: Newcastle Vs Everton - Matchday thread!

I apologise if I'm being a typical armchair pundit, but Pardew is a f***ing idiot.

Moyes is not a f***ing idiot. He has his penalty box predator playing around the penalty box and his big man playing deeper, flicking it on, winning the direct balls and bringing the wingers into play and giving the defenders the decision of close him down and give Jelavic space or stand off and let him link play.

Pardew plays his big man right at the top, so he's got no-one to flick it on to and all the balls to him have to be really long. We also then have no threat of breaking the offside trap. He then plays his penalty box predator, on the wing. Where he is neither good offensively or defensively.

Am I completely insane or is this f***ing retarded? Shola's best role is playing the deeper strike role, as he doesn't score many goals but is good at linking play. Cisse's is playing off the shoulder and Marveaux built his reputation as a winger. Why not play them in their proper positions?

That is why Moyes is one of the most respected managers in the league and Pardew is a f***ing idiot who really doesn't know how to set out a team.

Moyes rules.

Thunderbolt. Sheeds will be proud of that one.

Too right - fantastic goal.... Made my night. Hope he stays with us. I will be more brokenhearted if he went than I was when Rooney left and others.

I really like the guy compared to others you see in the premier league he genuine quiet guy...

Lol his new nickname should be the Quiet Man.....

Used to drink there.

Heitinga is a weak link in the air and he was caught out for the Perch effort that hit the post. He has the turning circle of a JCB and he continues to get sucked into midfield positions leaving a huge gap behind him.

I was surprised that Moyes didn't bring Vic on at half-time because Naismith had just about his worst game for us.

Overall we did quite well and we were probably a little fortunate to win it. My biggest concern was how naive we were. At 2-1 up I would have switched Fellaini and Osman to try and protect the lead. We couldn't keep possession for more than about 20 seconds and we were throwing balls into the box rather than keeping hold of it. I thought that Moyes might have used his substitutions to see the game out as well. He could have put Duffy on as a third centreback just to head the long balls away that were causing us so much trouble or he could have used Hitzlsperger to pack the midfield.

Very pleased with 3 wins out of 4 during the holiday period though. Maybe Moyes will give a couple of them a breather on Monday and play the likes of Duffy, Barkley and Vellios against Cheltenham.
