Im not saying its a fairy tale but it is an achievement against the current rules. Anderson was 4th choice after Bruno, Tonali and Joelinton and was our best player in preseason. And we got a [Poor language removed] goalkeeper in return for him. Minteh didn't play for us but we badly needed a right winter before Murphy became weirdly good so we wouldn't have sold those. Villa have the same issue now even if they did get CL. So where ever the money comes from it's still an achievement.

In years gone by you would’ve been in the Europa League, the fact they’ve changed the rules mid season to add an extra spot for no reason is why you’re in the CL. It certainly doesn’t seem like the rules are being rigged against you from where I’m sitting, quite the opposite in fact.

Yep. And im sure you'll benefit from the same rules one day. No need to be bitter, I just came online to congratulate you on the win but the hostility is a bit weird so thanks for the chat and good luck next season.

Edit: I also never said the rules are rigged. I said its an achievement because we haven't added any first team players for 18 months and everyone else around us strengthened. Think youre twisting my words mate to fit your own agenda. We were lucky yesterday and im grateful but we weren't the only team to bottle it on the last day.

Never forget Graham Poll saying the first game he refereed at OT was United v Everton and Everton had an absolute stonewall penalty at the Stretford End. He said it was 100% a penalty but he never gave it. The Everton players were giving him grief and he still doesn’t know to this day why he never gave it. I think it was him who blew up as the ball was going in the Gwladys St net off Don Hutchinson.
