Goodison pitch is being relaid to give it a grass/synthetic mix for first time. Previously been all grass as per Moyes preference #EFC

Apparently Goodison and Old Trafford were only PL pitches left with 100% grass but last winter battered GP so much it sparked change of mind

Because the previous one was very poor. Moyes criticised it in the final few months of the season. Moyes was the one who wanted the pitch changed before he went. He'd previously like 100% grass, but last season's pitch changed his mind.
