At Brighton I think he deserves credit for how he transitioned them from a long-ball clogger outfit under Hughton to what they were when he left. And I think Brighton were higher than 9th when he left (could be wrong on that though).

For his time at Chelsea there surely has to be some context applied. Chelsea was an absolute mess when he was there. Poch and Maresca had it easier than him.

Yes but he left Brighton for Chelsea really early in the season, it was only about 4/5 games in.

I’d take Johnson over BK any day, one of a few Everton fans who was against him from day one. Very proud of that, never clapped him once in my whole life.
