New manager

What’s the appeal of Fonseca? (Genuine question). All I can go on is the bare stats of his management career and it doesn’t look all that.
Not sure there is one. He was flavour of the month a few years back and was good enough to get the Milan gig (not as prestigious as once was) but he has Milan in 8th which is what he has been sacked. Given he has been plying his trade in Seri A, would be interesting to know what TFG think of him as they will have seen up up close and personal

52% career win rate across a number of countries, his teams do score goals.

I haven't watched Fonsecas teams since shakhtar but that shakhtar team was fantastic to watch. He also plays a 4231 so it would be evolution not revolution for the team (in theory)

He's tended to be flexible in the actual setup of his teams but his ethos has always been the same - 'win' the possession & create as many chances as possible. That Shakhtar Donetsk team that he had which reached the last 16 of the CL was indeed a really good side to watch. Has been interviewed by Spurs, Newcastle & Villa for their managerial positions in recent times.

One thing we can guarantee with him is better footy, but getting the results is the question mark..

I get the point but in what leagues? Mostly they appear to be in Portugal and that’s hardly the most feral space imaginable. I think of it as a warm version of the Scottish PL.
In Italy and France it’s been… OK? Good in parts, but mid table seems to be the tone.

Attacking football needs good decision making as well.
Harrison & Doucoure do not make good decisions at all.

Truth be told, there aren't many 'exceptional' candidates out there at the moment anyway really are there? beyond what we can realistically attract anyway...

I would try for the Bournemouth manager, apparently only on low salary, we can offer a much higher salary, have a brand new state of the art 53,000 stadium in a prime location, new rich owners and almost a blank slate to start with, plenty of players out of contract. Still a big name with a rich history.
