I took my youngest (6yo) to Liverpool today and we did some tourist things, including the ferry cruise loop. The idea was trying to connect him to the city. He wore his EFC shirt bless him even though the weather was terrible.
Long story short, he loved the city, we had a great time in the p*ssing rain.
I wanted to go up to the ground but we didn't have time, but when the ferry pulls out and it emerges as you head northward along the docks, wow. It's massive and it stands alone dominating that part of the land.
Its an absolutely, smack in the face, monster. And doing it from the tourist point of view really made me realise. So many are gonna see it that way and its such a great move. What a statement to slap a groumd like that right on the docks.
