New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

It was quiet, particularly second half. But we are a very reactive fan base imo. The performance was pretty dire, so most just sit there and moan

Back in Moyes' first spell the crowd would have responded to that West Ham equaliser tonight and pushed the team on for a winner. Sad what's happened in the last 10 years or so. Coincides with when we started to sell out every game.

The whole layout of this stadium looks designed to not build a fortress-like atmosphere. We dont really have a home end as far as I'm concerned.

It all looks too fragmented and sterile.

And I dont know what's happening with the acoustics for Everton supporters. Even a 2/3rds full away section tonight sounded 10x louder.

Something is just a bit off about the place and it's not just down to 'teething problems'.

Something structural.

Its cos the fans are weapons grade garbo and never sing.

Been telling people this for years, worst fanbase in the entire world.

Nah.

The stadium should never have been laid out like it has been.

The away fans should have been punted to the upper deck somewhere for a kick off. They make too much noise where they are and visibly they dominate the stadium.

Can anyone that went confirm that the atmosphere was shocking. That is how it came across on the TV anyway.
Thought the atmosphere was good. The South stand was deafening at times. Starting to get more coordination with singing.

I still can't get my head around how applause sounds like you're at a conference though. I miss the rumbling sounds of people's feet at goodison

Came across as usual: the away fans sound way way more louder than Everton fans - even in when they're in full voice.

I think this stadium has been built with the best interests of the opposition in mind!
Most away fans at any ground are all sitting together and will sing as they've made the journey rather than just sit in silence.
Maybe the seating allocation at BMD has dispersed those that sang at Goodison
Or maybe we just don't have much to sing about on the pitch

Absolute travesty how small the lower tier of the South Stand is. Been said before that so many people who never sat in the Street End will have put themselves in there as well without really wanting to contribute to the atmosphere.

Even by Premier League standards the atmosphere was poor. We all know it was usually crap at Goodison but I think it might end up being worse at BMD. Don't know what can be done to change it.
