New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

The Premier League clubs have come to a decision on digital ticketing.

They have voted to make it mandatory for all PL clubs as from the 2026/27 season.

Promoted clubs will be allowed two years to bring in digital ticketing.

The Premier League announcement (see below) means that all Newcastle United fans will have to use digital ticketing apart from, as is already the case, certain exceptions – ‘Clubs will retain some discretion to make some tickets available in other formats to supporters who have reasonable grounds to request them. This may include supporters who have a disability that makes the purchase or use of digital tickets challenging.’
Makes me laugh this. Not only completely ignoring what fans want but a plastic card is digital ticketing! How do they think the information is transferred onto the card and read by the machine on the turnstiles?!

As beautiful as our ew stadium in I still think 52800 is small-time. Should have been 60,000 ate least
Definitely should've been built with the ability to more easily expand without needing change of laws.
The exposed Riverside location also potentially compromises ability to go upwards due to impact of wind on roof that's before you get past the heritage lobby.

Love this

I see what you're saying but as long as Liverpool and City are around we won't be competing with them at any time in the next decade regardless of what the new owners do.

City have had their wobble now and are back to investing hundreds of millions. Can only assume it's a matter of time before United get it right again, and that's not even talking about Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle or Villa (or Forest).

Perhaps the club couldn't have made it any bigger due to financial restrictions? Given it cost about £800m (didn't it?) as it is, can ought imagine the cost if it were made 10,000 or more seats bigger. A billion?

Anyway I'm just happy it's a new ground in a great location that will enable the club to improve on and off the field.

So the correct answer is, build a dome roof fully inclosed. Now that would be one loud deafening atmosphere.
Yeah I agree, nothing can be done with the wind which will push the rain sideways.
Several of the new generation of high roofed stadia have the same issue. Bilbao had it particularly bad at their water front San Memes stadium. People got so wet in their lower tier that thousands used to vacate their seats. They had to retrofit a roof extension. Seeing as our corporate sections go right down to the front on the West stand, I'm hoping that we eventually do similar.

Wtf sort of comment is this? are you an accountant and love rounding numbers up?

An extra 8k fans won’t be in a stadium sitting nearly 53k blues.

It’s like asking for an extra roastie on your Christmas dinner.

Think that's a good point. I can't think of any valid reason why cards can't be issued other than trying force usage of the resale site and/or membership fees out of more and more people.
