New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

It's an underwhelming use of a state of the art £700M stadium. If you prefer to make ad hominem attacks on me, then so be it.
Dave it’s a brand new stadium to replace our 132 year old stadium, moving into it will generate unprecedented revenue for the club, you complain we can’t compete under this custodianship and complain when we are given the opportunity, it’s not an attack it’s a fact you’re never content with absolutely anything that comes from the club. You’re one of the few who hold them accountable but flatly refuse to accept the path forward is a painful one that very few are successful at, at LEAST we are progressing in a way which is positive.

That's a caricature of what I think about the club and this stadium.

You're conflating opposition to owners with opposition to Everton FC. And I have fully recognised how important and impressive this stadium is.

That doesn't take away anyone's right to express the (widely held) view that the lighting of this stadium is a problem. That lighting system is not good enough. It can be changed and it needs to be changed. And all the nonsense about air traffic violations are just not cutting it.

The barrel lighting certainly isn’t how it’s depicted on the Stadium website. Hopefully its just top trolling by the club ahead of a grand reveal more like this image when fully complete.

The lighting won't impact nothing. Lighten up

Apparently they've said that they aren't going to adjust them. Might be BS, but I agree with Davek, they don't look the best. But that's our own opinion.

My name isn't Christ also
I think all that has been confirmed is that they won't be adjusting the height i.e. they won't be pointing them in the air. The intention was always to have the bottom of the barrel cladding illuminated. The issue isn't with the angle really, it's more the intensity which creates the blue dots/ gas stove look.

As has been mentioned elsewhere in here, they might still yet alter that intensity or add some sort of diffuser. Also bearing in mind that the lighting looks a lot different from ground level which is how the vast majority will actually view it.

There’s surely people within the club/ project that see what we see?

Night games, especially those that are televised, you would want this beautiful structure lit up in all its glory.

The current look, specifically on the barrel sections is awful. Now if they could get the same diffused effect we’ve seen on the South underside, then great.

If they can’t, bloody remove them.

It cheapens the look significantly.

Maybe the drone guys can keep on at them down there that it looks naff!
