They are spending a fortune on the stadiums & infrastructure just come back & I can't see how it will ever work

This is the new stadium for the final in Qatar

That's the Khalifa Stadium, their traditional ground being re-built. Only about 40k with a running track.
The stadium being used for the final is being built from scratch in a city/area that hasn't been built yet (Lusail). It's going to be 85k I think, and the latest news is that they'll probably knock it down again after the WC. Nice one FIFA.
