New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Lad it's also a fact that the club has been in discussions with the brands and companies I mentioned. Imagine if they went round telling everyone the exact financial details. Hahahahaha
Lad ?
You are digging a mighty big hole for yourself.
Please take some time off and go get your "facts" as all you do is pick up on internet forum wham.....goodnight.

So there's people that actually buy into the idea that Everton, are going to market for financing a New Stadium at a World Class Location and are struggling to get offers for funding and this is the basis for some people on here believing this won't happen.:hayee:

And we can't get a loan...

Hahahaha
It’s not that simple. Banks don’t usually like to have longer term debt like that unless they can move it quickly. The whole concept of baking is to match money inflows with outflows. A lot of commercial banks don’t have huge amounts of instruments to balance out a vehicle such as this one. Which is why public financing makes sense. Obviously naming rights and other anticipated inflows will drive the purchase price down, which is where our buddy Usmanov comes in, but they should indeed be cautious about how this is financed. The Spurs stadium ended up needing quite a bit of commercial financing at the end, but those were shorter term vehicles that were VERY expensive and more than what they planned. It’s put them in a difficult financial situation for certain.

You would have to be a mad tribalist not to want something that brings money, jobs, speeds up regeneration and brings upgraded infrastructure not just for BM for the city as a whole.

So for liverpool fc it's ok to ruin the local economy, increase crime and the number of unoccupied tinned houses - forcing the locals to move out by slowly buying and crippling the local house prices.

But for Everton to create hubs etc around its current ground, leaving a lasting legacy - whilst speeding up regeneration and creating thousands of jobs in a rundown derelict area gets opposition?

You couldn't make it up.

I wouldn’t want Liverpool getting a stadium on the docks, in the middle of a £5bn regeneration, tbf.

Surprised they never did try and relocate to the docks themselves. That really could have put them on a par with Real Madrid, Barcelona, etc.

Indeed. I can understand from a fan point of view why they wouldn't want it. Hell if they bought BM instead of expanding the pit I would be secretly hoping for something to scupper it - good for the city or not. However you would hope someone who really has the best interests of the city at heart to rise above all that. If I was voted in as Mayor or Metro Mayor I would like to be remembered as someone who drove the city forward not let it stagnate while cities like Manchester go from strength to strength.
