Does anyone seriously think if Goodison could have been feasibly redeveloped ,it would not have been first choice? It wasn't feasible thirty, twenty and ten years ago move on.

Im pretty sure Blue Bill was some way involved with Goodison for Ever-ton which put forward a plan to upgrade Goodison

Of course it is. If they built these stands to begin with they can take them down and build them again. The problem being with a re-development is we can't get somebody else to pay for it.

When you say 'feasibly' do you mean for free or as little money as possible?

If you mean technically possible with sensible costs, a bit of strategic planning, co-ordination with the council, etc. then it would be very much feasible. In the same way other grounds around the country have been re-developed over the last 20-25 years.

No one is saying it needs to be done in one hit. One stand every 5 or so years (or when budget allows) would surely be deliverable. The fact that the club has done nothing since 1994 whilst fannying around with 3 failed ground moves is a disgrace.

With a bit of planning and strategy, we could;
- Build behind the Park End to add another tier
- Build behind the Bullens Road stand to add another tier with a cantilevered roof meaning no more obstructed views in the Upper Bullens. Could put exec boxes in the Lower Bullens
- Put a new roof on the Main Stand removing the daft big posts at the front and remove the exec boxes to be replaced with seating

It's obviously easy to dismiss the above as impossible when the option that will provide the easiest and best returns for the shareholders is the new stadium option

Exactly. A new Park End could be as big as we wanted it to be.

The Gwladys street is roughly twice the capacity of the Park End, and has a much bigger footprint for expansion. A new Park End could be 12k rather than 6k.

The problem is we have two carpetbaggers who Kenwright has shackled the club to. They are happy doing nothing other than a) sweating the interest off loans made to Everton; b ) waiting for a buyer for the club on the strength now that enormous tv cash will eventually tip some mug up to pay through the nose for their shares; or c) waiting for the public-private sector to pay for a new stadium prior to a sale.

I dont blame those two Shylocks for doing what they're doing. It's what they do. Just like a dog barks and a bear defecates in the woods, these characters will act as a parasitical force on any investment they have - never boosting value or any sort of heavy lifting, just biding their time waiting for a big payout and in the meantime getting a decent return on their outlay already.

There's only one force here to blame: it isn't the local authorities; it isn't planning departments, it isn't the private sector, it isn't our two Shylocks....it's Bill Kenwright. 15 years in charge and he brought us to this point where any goodwill and confidence from the private and public sector toward the club is exhausted; he is the one who has fought tooth and nail any fan involvement in shareownership, he is the one who landed us in the vice like grip of businessmen who have no ambition for Everton FC.

Three failed stadium schemes on his watch; no investment; no trophies.

It's great having a true blue Evertonian stewarding the club though isn't it?

Time for this feller to make himself scarce....oh no, he cant do that, he's got to front up the organisation for his two parasitical mates and provide the public face of 'ownership' to the watching world.

I've changed my mind. We don't need a new stadium. I don't think we could get the kind of money for corporate boxes that would make it worthwhile. Would rather see us tear down the GS end and build a new stand with some corporate hospitality boxes built in, and better sight lines for each seat.

Same with the Park End as has been mentioned above. The cost of two brand new, state of the art stands would be much more cost effective and provide us with the amenities we need without abandoning our home and we'd still retain the special atmosphere that would be lost completely in a new modern stadium. We could do this over 2 off seasons.

King's Dock would have been ideal due to location, but a city centre ground is unattainable any more. Other than that location, I don't see the point since it's not going to happen anytime soon with current ownership.

It says it all about the moribund Kenwright era that the only way of us progressing is something that you'd never wish on anyone: ill health and death.

That's the bind were in after 15 years of off-field calamity.

Can you imagine what some Kopite like Johnson would have faced if he'd put Everton through half of what Kenwright has put us through?

The feller's an utter disaster for Everton. Still, Bill got to 'own' his childhood club, so that's sound then.
