Those pictures certainly look better than any I saw yesterday but still not convinced.

I thought it looked terrible when the first released the images a couple of years ago, but I've grown to love the design - from the outside.

I think it will look awful inside though. Because to the shape it will be different heights all the way around, with the highest points being between the goal and half way line. Maybe that's just me though. The angle of the main stand at Goodison has always irritated me too. I probably have mild OCD lol.

The RS are going to be well and truly left behind. They will soon have a smaller stadium than the following clubs: Tottenham, Chelsea, West Ham, Man Utd and Man City. And hopefully us, as well.

But they do have the 8th WOW.

I think its 3 tiers all around, but the shape of the top level being all over the shop to fit into the site. Relatively small lower tier and middle tier for corporate I guess.

Over 9000 corporate/premium seats apparently that are expected to raise more cash than the rest of the stadium.

looks like when you're in the office and all you want to do is look out of the windows and the nice view but you're two options are blinds fully closed or this half arsed attempt which blocks out half of the window.

Surely it would be made of plastic flags and chav's if it was instantly Chelsea?

Have to agree with you on the design though, bout time stadiums looked more like other buildings, Meis has been one of the better ones for making it less 'standard' so let's hope we get something equally as different.

The Chelsea stadium does look better at a micro rather than macro level. Still wouldn't be happy if it was our design though.

Herzog and De Mouron did that ace Bordeaux one, didn't they? Just goes to show how subjective it all is. I love that one, and the Beijing stadium, but so much this one.

Pretty sure there is similar stuff on that wall at the moment or there was when I last watched us there a few years ago.
