New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Read a lot recently about the English women's domestic game attendances declining by about 7%-8% last season and that Arsenal's women's team do most of the heavy lifting in terms of vastly outperforming all other WSL clubs attendance-wise.

Everton need to be getting multiple music events each summer instead of rolling out the red carpet to a declining women's footy industry and rugby weekends that are struggling to sell out.

In short: Everton are rubbish....at pretty much everything.

Hand them a brand new stadium and they'll turn it into a patchily attended embarrassment.
The Super League weekender is selling very well, 75k tickets sold as of a week ago beating the record set at St James’s Park 7 years ago

They sold out the ground for the Ashes game and the Union international will likely sell out as well

That Arron Duckmanton said we're working on plans for the summer of 2027 / 2028 for live music events.

I think if we're to really blow that lot out the water we need to start bringing in the top acts instead of them going to the Tin Mine.

Am all for the rugby bits like but we need to establish the stadium as the premier outdoor music venue in the city.

Give it time matey, Im sure we will, stadium is less than 12months old, still a lot of work to be done.
Regarding the attendance, the upper south stand was never going to open last night, so that straight away reduced the attendance.
Club do need to get their act together with the catering though, wont go down well that.

Yep...there are definitely still a lot of creases to iron out.

I read the women’s match report on both BBC and Sky Sports and not a single mention of Everton or our stadium.

Did you only read the first 19 words of the Sky Sports report?

Loved it last night - took the fam, it was the first trip to the HD for two of them and they were blown away. Amazing to not only see 26 thousand there, but definitely more women than men in the stadium, so many families. Such a great way to bring new people in and let them catch the bug. We will never sell more fruit shoots in the rest of our history!

This is likely to be Aramark that have messed this up rather than Everton. Be interesting to see if it was all over the ground or just one area that they've under resourced and not had the common sense to move supplies/staff up there on the night if other sections are ok.

Ultimately, we're paying them to take care of this so we don't have to and they're supposed to be the experts.

Either way it won't reflect well on the club in terms of getting future games I'd imagine.
That’s the equivalent of a bad workman blaming their tools imo.
The club appointed them, the club manage them, the club are responsible for their successes* and failures.
Anus Kinnear has appointed a multitude of executives to insulate himself from failures, from the titles that have been rolling out lately there’s probably at least 4 ‘managers’ over seeing stadium ops, inc Aramark, if none of them are looking at Aramark’s planning and execution, someone ain’t doing their job properly or they’re ill equipped for their role.

*if and when there are any.

If your figures are from Everton then I'd question them.

Also, in terms of hospitality rugby fans aren't too discerning - wools who'd queue for hours to eat 💩 in a bun.

He said they are booked on an 18 month cycle...and left it at that.

It was an evasive answer and I doubt very much any are in the pipeline.

The stadium is being run by a load of chimps with highfalutin' job titles.

Yep I just suppose we'll have to wait and see.

One thing though if there aren't any music act booked for 2027 i think questions need to be asked.

If we're serious about it being the best in the country we've got to act like it.

Well, if there's no music next summer then you can kiss 2028 goodbye too as the Euros wont allow for it.

So: no music acts until (maybe) summer of 2029.
