The uniform roof seems like the biggest issue to me. It needs to be scaled uniformly so it doesn’t look daft, and I don’t know how you do that.

Only if they completely change the rules (and the law). Which they're not going to do.

The first chatter following telling us it was 52000 capacity was that it could be expanded to 62000.

No detail was given or expanded on. Some speculate it's through safe standing, but that's far fetched to add 10k more.

Chong did say it could be expanded along the sides. But silence since.

Meis wrote it could be expanded to 60,000 then later changed his story.

Fits right in with this football club over promise and under deliver.

Yeah Barcelona Real Madrid City Liverpool United Arsenal Newcastle Chelsea Spurs all expanded/are expanding for bigger capacities but for some reason Everton are smarter than all of them and knew that scarcity is the commodity you want and you always want it to be full like Madison Square gardens or something like that…..

I’d rather they just admit it got too expensive and if we wanted to be on the waterfront that was the trade off rather than feeding the fans a load of guff about right sizing. Lo and behold there’s a massive season ticket waiting list, occasional punters can’t go the game, and there’s lotteries on every league game with minimal chance of a ticket for any big fixtures. Love that scarcity though, good job we didn’t build it bigger.

It wont happen mate. The lower north and lower east can be changed from seating to standing but the ratio would need to change to 2 people for every 1 space ( or it was 1.5 to every 1 space ) and the same with the South Stand.

@Tom Hughes knows what the ratio would need to be to gain 10k more.

It won't happen anyway. You only need to hear about the stories of people moaning in the South stand standing section about telling people to sit down to know we couldn't have the same issue in the lower north or east.

You'd need 10,000 seats as Safe Standing with a 1:2 ratio to get extra 10,000. IE 42000 seats 20000 standing in the ground. It's not going to happen.

Not through SS anyway.
