I think the name will change. We don't want our shiny new pit of misery named after a notorious slave trader.

As inglorious that he may be you can't rewrite history. Ideas abhorrent to us now were part of life what 150, 200, 300 plus years ago. Part of the British Empire at the time. The city was built on it the port built through it. The dock has stood with the name for a long long time. My dad, granddad, uncle will have worked on it being arl dockers.

It's really good Everton could be acknowledging the past because once we move it will also be part of the club's past. As mentioned earlier.

But you can't rewrite history. It's synonymous with Bramley-Moore it will always be. It's folly to go all politically correct and whitewash the name. Everywhere in Liverpool streets, buildings (names & architecture) is steeped in
history of the era both good and bad. Because that is the history of the city.
