The second graph is for the Deloitte top 20 clubs for revenue not wages. Our wage bill is probably higher than Benfica's by quite a bit

Wait so Benfica generate higher revenues than us?

I ask because they get beans for TV money(300m) and the premier league gets over a billion

What worries me is after tfg took over roma and brought Mourinho in. They spent a decent amount the first summer then completely pulled any funding for the rest of the time Mourinho was there. Leaving roma relying on bringing in frees and loans.

21/22 season:

Spent: 132m

Brought in: 17m

22/23 season:

Spent: 9m

Brought in: 81m

23/24 season:

Spent: 24m

Brought in: 81m

Then they sacked him for being 5pts off CL place in January.

In this league where Brighton can just drop 200m+ in a summer window.
We need to spend big in this league to stay in the same place and i worry that if they think they can do the same with Moyes as they did with Mourinho.

And tbh the dealings in the summer and so far this window has me thinking the worst so far.

Depends how they allocate that money. In Spain Madrid and Barcelona get way more of the TV rights money than the other teams.

They were a much more established team in a better state in a massively less competitive league.

If TFG think they can do the same in the PL where even promoted teams can come up and spend over 100m in one transfer window (the current 3 promoted sides spent over 400m in the summer). Then we could very well end up in a kenwright type survival is success situation.
