PRINCE Rupert’s Tower, a beehive-like structure on Everton Brow, began in 1787 as an overnight lock-up for drunks and minor miscreants.

I didn't realise the Friedkins also own AS Cannes who are currently in the French regional fourth division. They aren't exactly smashing it in the league but beat second division Grenoble in the French cup today.

I said ages ago that I thought Cannes and Roma were 'marquee' names to Americans.

I think in the future games will be sold off as rights by groups like TFG.

If all 3 clubs are doing well they could well sell a package.

A premier league club, Roma and Cannes which sound full of glamour.

It’s amazing to see real marketing and no people club rubbish and telling people with won 9 league titles and 5 fa cup as we seem to have forgotten that the last 30 years.

Time to truly wake up the sleeping giant

And the European trophy as well of course. We are a giant and historical powerhouse of English and world football.

Hopefully these will be the people to light the fuse on the stick of dynamite, and wake this sleeping giant of a club up again.
