Heard a report earlier on talksport saying we would kick off in BMD debt free. How true that is I don't know.

My guess is, there will always be some form of debt.
It's a financial tool that most savvy businesses leverage at one time or another.
The secret to success is to manage and use it wisely (which has not been the case in the past).
For now, I am just going to enjoy the moment.
The shackles of the last owner/s have finally been broken, and we can move on.
Today is a day for optimism.

Cheers, everyone, and let our Happy Christmas start NOW!!!

I mean more the sort of 'now we're going to be run properly' 'these guys know what they're doing' 'there'll be no more of x, y or z with these fellas' etc which there is a lot of. People said it about Moshiri and it didn't happen. I am optimistic, but I'm just saying I will wait and see what they actually do before I praise them.

This is fair, and honestly I'm quite a bit more cautious following the Moshiri experience. I'll throw 3 things in though, not to disagree per se, but to add some other bits:

1) They appear to have cleared house at the top and brought competent people in. In truth very experienced people in. This didn't happen in 2016.

2) They have greatly reduced the debt. This is a big positive.

3) Moshiri arrived with a club in a much better position, so it made sense to probably be overly optimistic.

I have concerns too, and it's probably better to have a cautious optimism.

Like we are not going to magically be challenging to win things quickly, even if they are good. It will take time.

Just knowing we haven't got the ghost of going tits up anytime soon lurking in the background is a blessing in itself.
Sensible management from a competent board should sort the rest fairly sharpish.
