The question we all need to ask is what the HELL does the journo who clearly sits on Evertons board do for the other 17 months? He clearly doesn’t write stories about Everton

If we were to offer the same salary as Ancelotti received + £100mil to sign players (plus sales) for this and next summer then i think we could get almost any manager in world football -- bar the managers truly embedded in their clubs.

This appointment needs to be straight from overseas. We cant be going for managers with 'premier league experience'.

Theyve either failed or done nothing notable.

We will know which direction the club is headed based on where the manager comes from.

Just go and get Gallardo ffs.

Somethings never change with Moyes - so no thanks to having him back:

Still not won at Emirates, Anfield, Old Trafford, Stamford bridge.

For the teams that finished above West Ham, he got a point against city and beat Leicester home and away....7 points from 30.
We last season got 12 points from those games.

Last Season with West Ham

Arsenal 2 - West Ham 1
Liverpool 2 - West Ham 1
Chelsea 3 - West Ham 0
West Ham 1 - Man Utd 3
West Ham 1 - Liverpool 3
Man City 2 - West Ham 1
Man Utd 1 - West Ham 0 (FA CUP)
Man Utd 1 - West Ham 0
West Ham 0 - Everton 1
West Ham 0 - Chelsea 1

He did well in the below games:

West Ham 1 - Man City 1
Spurs 3 - West Ham 3
Leicester 0 - West Ham 3
Leeds 1 - West Ham 2
West Ham 1 - Spurs 1
West Ham 3 - Arsenal 3
West Ham 3 - Leicester 2
West Ham 2 - Leeds 0

I agree, we're going backwards if we get Moyes back. We need to replace a world class manager with a world class manager.

Nuno does not have a great record....these are his results when Wolves finished 7th in 2019/2020 season.
Last season he never had his main striker and they were poor.

Wolves 1 Man Utd 1
Arsenal 1 - Wolves 1
Wolves 3 - Man City 2
Man Utd 0 - Wolves 0
Wolves 0 - Leicester 0
Spurs 2 - Wolves 3
Wolves 3 - Everton 0
Man City 0 - Wolves 2

Everton 3 Wolves 2
Liverpool 1 Wolves 0
Man Utd 1 Wolves 0 (FA Cup)
Wolves 1 Spurs 2
Wolves 1 Liverpool 2
Chelsea 2 - Wolves 0
Wolves 2 - Chelsea 5

Moyes (backward step - he can beat the big teams away from home)
Nuno (is he much better than Moyes)? Poor this season. Palace would still appoint him.

Conte we will not get
Erik ten Hag (not sure if he will leave Ajax for us) and does not have premiership experience
Sergio Conceicao does not have premiership experience - a risk
Ralf Rangnick does not have premiership experience - a risk
Eddie Howe (no thanks - not good enough)
Rafael (has won things in the past but not much in the last 8 years - but has still won titles in spain and champions league & europa league) - still a risk

Not much left after that

We have been going backwards since he left to be honest. Bar one freak season with Martinez.
I just want a manager that will come in and give us an identity we can get behind. I cdnt see that with ancelotti - no more mercenaries.

I don't think he'd take the job even if we wanted him. It wouldn't be like last time where he'd be afforded 10 years. If anything he'd have to get us Europa at least in his first season or people would be calling for him to be sacked. Many are on the fence or completely against him returning so if he did the pressure would be on him immediately. Bit like Gravytits when he was here. He'd be mad to come to us, not to mention he's in europa league with West Ham.
All good points, Bren, but as we’ve just witnessed, Managers can be a mercenary lot. New owner - with whom we are led to believe he holds some sway - new stage, capital, unfinished business with an arguably bigger club, not to mention a resident of the north west. The pros for he far outweigh the cons.
