The guy has won more major European trophies than Everton Football Club as a whole, partly because our greatest team was banned from the European Cup due to the RS fans. He’s also been to more European finals as a manager than Man City.

He’s got a better pedigree that some of the guys we’ve been linked with, the likes of Potter and Bruce etc.

I’d be willing to give him a chance if he was appointed.

Yea but sadly that was well over 15 years ago and his last few jobs he hasn't exactly set the world on fire,i couldn't give a toss if he's a ex red it's the fact that he just isn't that good anymore.

You mistake toxicity for passion. We are passionate about our club and want the best. Moshiri finally appointed a manager that could take this club forward and we lost him. We just don't want him to go backloads, we've all been there before many times.

I can see how many would find it impossible to get behind Benitez and I also think as a club we can do better.

This has been going on long before the Benitez talk started. Blues can't even decide what colour blue the shirt with trading insult or getting personal.

Liverpool connections aside he’s irrelevant as a manager right now. He’s done nothing recently except hip divisions with Newcastle and then spectacularly park the bus without a hint of entertaining football and then sod of to China where he failed by all accounts as well. I couldn’t even tell you why or if he really did fail in China because that’s how irrelevant that league is.
Ancelotti may have been past his prime but he came from a champions league club, Napoli, Benitez comes from obscurity.
Rather have a manager who’s won nothing but is on the up. Ffs I’d rather have Potter than him!
