What McCarthy needs to do next season is to become a deep lying playmaker that can dictate a game. Bit like xabi alonso . Barkley then can drop deeper and we should invest in someone who can find a pass in the no10 role

McCarthy hasn't got the range of passing for that role mate, the likes of Alonso, Gerrard, Gibson or even say Huddlestone do have that about their game - and it's not something thats easy to develop, he's unlikely to suddenly start spraying around 30-40y passes as its not in his arsenal like, plenty of other qualities like just not that.

Fair play i do think we need that type though to play alongside him and we deffo need a creative cam
