Giving the armband to someone else only hurts Jagielka imo. This has been his worst season for us but just because he's been playing poorly and is lacking confidence like the rest of the squad doesn't mean he needs to be stripped of the captaincy.

McCarthy's captain material in my opinion - he seems quite gobby on the pitch and leads by example. Baines is far too soft for the role. Stones is a potential future captain (if he sticks around).

I can't think of any other player worth a shout.
