New bands for me to listen to

Any self-respecting lid would be right onto The Tea Street Band. Proper scouse band who could be on the verge of making it big.

Feral Love are also about to launch their debut album (first track due for its inaugural national play on Radio 1 from 10pm tonight). They're also local, and risen from the ashes of the truly brilliant Bird (get onto their album, 'My Fear and Me').

Would also recommend Chvrches 2nd album, still relatively new.

I love them, but their best days are behind them.

I'm not sure, TKOL wasn't my favourite, but In Rainbows before it was stunning. I think they'll release something new in the next month or so (they've just announced a world tour today), I have pretty high hopes for something good.

And their Bond theme for Spectre was great.

I need your help to pick me a new band/musician, as my favorites are either retired or should retire (radiohead), dead (RIP MCA), or can't be arsed to reunite (The Strokes)*. Eagerly awaiting your crap responses.

*Still like The Strokes, but you can see how closely I follow music.

Try Royal Blood...look a little deeper in to the members, or lack thereof. Impressive what they manage to spit out, all things considered.

Everything Everything - recently listened to all of their albums after someone on here posted in @what are you listening to now"

1) Little Mix -- These are [Poor language removed] these
2) Tame Impala -- Nice, but probably too chill for me. Reminds me of Flaming Lips, but they also reminded to give listen to...
3) MGMT -- Some is great, but some is just not my style. What's the deal with all the asexual singing these days? What ever happened to boys that sing like boys and girls that sing like girls? Still, these reminded me of
4) M83 -- A few tracks are fabulous, but not yet sure...
5) Muse -- Frequently recommended by a friend. Giving this a whirl...

Not a new band, but new music from them - The Stone Roses have finally announced a new album. Can't wait. Their debut is in my to 5 albums ever list.

That's a good shout. I'll probably like them simply because of my age. Heard some Weezer the other day, still love their first album. I'll too soon no doubt be embarrassing my kids, driving around with the windows down and Weezer's over-amped-Marshalls blaring, making my kids wonder why do they gotta front?

Porcupine Tree even though they are no longer they have a impressive back catalog spanning back to the early 90's
or anything Steven Wilson has released solo or produced he only works with technically brilliant musicians

Monster Truck
The Vintage Caravan
HeKz
Tess Of The Circle
Mostly Autumn
Magenta
Arena
Chantel McGregor
Bridge To Mars

Some melodic and proggy, some good solid hard rock. All great.
