I've known a few women with steel. I've also played against a team who fielded a woman (schools staff match) and nobody could get near her.Just silly, start of a slippery slope that will see them eventually bring in quotas because it's a 'mixed' game.
What is so wrong with having a sport that is split by gender? Athletics would be a better example but women wouldn't get near a podium. Things like polo it is fine and understandable but having mixed teams just prevents opportunities to a large portion of women and to they few boys that might be blocked by a woman in a team. Don't get it.
This is a bit wrong way of looking at it imho and unfair on Nevin. To become a professional footballer especially back you would need a lot of steel about you. He may be slight but would be able to handle himself. Same with rugby players, the backs aren't weaklings.
Most professional men would be able to bully a professional female being stronger and faster.
(I could have if it wasn't for the injunction)
