Net spend

Also, won't their exits count agains the summer window and not January?
Maybe i was talking in general and regarding the way the squad has been reshaped without really using any of the moshiri money to date o ce these players leave and so we should still have the war chest for next summer.

It's not the club's fault that it's 2 most saleable assets have asked to leave in successive years. Not many 50m+ players will come here so what do you spend the money on. We could spend 20m on 10 players like spurs did ,but don't moan when only 1 or 2 workout.

It's a a pretty frivolous and perhaps irrelevant discussion until players have been bought as only then can their success be truly judged.

As @mkrudden mentioned, in all reality a net spend 'can' be a good thing, although not always, if the situation still allows for an improved squad.

Look at all the money wasted by clubs like Liverpool over the years on players who haven't really improved their squad; money for monies sake.

Although obviously if there is a negative net spend and the squad has not been adequately improved then rightfully people will ask questions.

While I do not want Lukaku to go, if he and other players do leave then we should have a fairly large pot to reinvest in a number of players.

The Clev 8m
Geri 12m
Niasse 10m
Lukaku 68.5m
Mirallas 12m

McGeady 50p

Will keep Mirallas. Lukaku if he agrees not to move this summer.

Deulofeu, Kone (released), Lennon, Niasse, Tarashaj, Garbutt, Grant, McAleny (released), Rodriguez, McGeady.

Cleverley is definitely going too.

A lot of players to get rid.

Absolutely mate.
If we sell and don't replace with better / more suitable then it's not good business.
