Net spend

Maybe i was talking in general and regarding the way the squad has been reshaped without really using any of the moshiri money to date o ce these players leave and so we should still have the war chest for next summer.

The "war chest" has been building for some time. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth if we don't see significant incomings very soon.

With rumors that geri is going and that cleverley has gone with the potential to shift niasse aswell it looks like we will end up with a negative net spend from the january transfer window.

i'm being a pedant here, but I'm mot sure how you work that out mate, we'll get the money for Cleverley this summer and, if Del goes back to Barcelona then the same will apply there, so we'll have that money to spend in the Summer transfer window and didn't have it to spend in January.

Net spend is one of the most irrelevant stats in football, imo.

Unless a club is in the position that they have to sell to buy. Then its just annoying.

Not totally au fait with the situation re FFP/SSTC/CBEEBIES tbh, but from a financial stand point, Everton do not need to sell a player to finance others. But, the potential profit from a sale might make it easier to bulk the squad out and address the gaps we all know need addressing.

But then the FF deal might allow us to sign without selling I guess.

Anyrate, Net Improvement beats Net Spend.

Net spend is for weirdos who talk about expected goals per game

Freaks, and I guarantee none of them support their local side.
