Negative fans

Too many negative fans at the moment we are 7 points off fourth place and have stones and mccarthy coming back and with coleman mirallas baines barkley lukaku who are quality players who are not on form we can easily get a couple of wins and go on a run. To many fans expected to much after last season hopefully in jan we will sign some players to freshen up the squad so we can compete in the cups and the league coyb
I think it is the brand of football we are playing at the moment - possession football with no change of pace once we get by the oppositions area. The amount of times we have been in good positions but end up back in the position we broke from is frustrating to say the least. Lakaku needs the ball in front of him to be seen at his best, not to feet with his back to goal.Teams are happy to let us have the ball in front of them because we lack penetration.

One point that should be made to oppose a point that has been frequently made by some posters including @Brennan is that when some talk of poorer or as poor starts made by previous managers Especially Moyes and are acting as though that was totally accepted at the time, it wouldn't have been, I remember going to Aston Villa away and barely putting up a fight in a 2-0 loss under Moyes.

Lol remember the 2-1 victory at Spurs? Scenes.

What did we do next? Lose 1-0 to Fulham with a very negative line up.

This run happens with all managers.

It's all about your character.
You can think us fans like we're on this ship called Everton...

you are either:

1. Supporter who backs ships captain and tries to defend his decisions if needed. Acquiescent.
2. Supporter who accepts his captain but is critical and is not afraid to show it. Fence sitter.
3. Supporters who cant handle tough times, they are first in soup lines but always ducks deck polishing. Mutinous.

In that case I'm a definite fence sitter lid.

Not that positive just fed up with the amount of fans moaning and complaining think we need to get a grip and get behind the team not saying we have done great this season but we are still in an ok position
We've won 1 of our last 6 prem games. I think people have a right to be upset. We also don't look like turning it around which is probably what has some people going a bit mental.

Didn't think it was that bad, blimey.

We are easy to play against at the minute, slow build up, no width, with a likely individual error.

We are at our best when we play with pace, we need to go back to that.

We'll still finish top 7, but that would be a disappointment

Good point. COYB

I think it is the brand of football as much as anything. At the beginning of the season we were scoring for fun and conceding equally as many. Roberto has tried to quite rightly rectify that and as a result we have become tighter and less expansive.
However tightening things up or not there is no excuse for the performances against palace, Swansea and hull. I mentioned in the match thread yesterday, we had as much pace as city in the team, but they moved the ball so much quicker then us.
It's worrying that our strengths (Coleman and baines) has been nullified this season. Maybe teams are working us out. Either way we need a plan b cos at present we are so slow and predictable.

Wasnt it 2-3 games a go we were 2 points off 4th place..

Were playing crap. Theres nowt to be positive about in the league!
Watched the city game four times now and don,t think we played that badly overall. We were playing one of the best sides in Europe and deserved a draw yesterday unfortunately the amateur in black decided otherwise
