Not hugely surprised by this, the timing is a bit odd though, I still think he will get some game time before the end of the season. But if you are the only senior striker and Dyche is starting a winger or a kid ahead of you, then you would have to look elsewhere, if you want to play football.

So they ALMOST sold both Gordon and maupay without replacing either, that really is astonishing.

Not that he offers anything, but still.

Makes sense why they recalled Simms as well now

Thing is though, since Gordan & Maupay have not been in the team we have done a lot better, so on this one Everton have got it right

Not his fault he's not been the required standard. In hindsight, the writing was on the wall when Brighton were prepared to sell him.

If you apply that reasoning out though then every player we buy is likely to be a flop. We don't play to his strengths and as a team we were struggling, that doesn't help forwards shine. We've had a few recently that should have been able to get 5 to 8 goals per season but couldn't even manage that.

If he hit his Brighton numbers we would have loved it.

His Brighton numbers still weren’t very good.

Never should have bought this lad in the first place. We did need other striking options at the time but his record shows he dosent score many goals, and that's not changed in his time with us.
