The Wizards saved cap room to sign KD and all they had to do was say get a 4-5 seed and push the Cavs a bit in the playoffs and he might have came. Not anymore though, the Wizards were lousier than everton.

I think KD might have left if OKC flamed out in the postseason but that doesn't look like it will happen. Durant will sign a one year deal. Kev and Westbrook will stay if OKC ponies up the money to sign Adams and keep the side intact. There is talk that the Lakers will make a run at both in 2017-18.
And then hired Scotty Brooks. Typical Zards move.
Can definitely see Westbrook going back to CA to play for the Lakers

Cleveland and Oklahoma City. Two cities I was pretty sure would never host a championship parade for a major league in my lifetime.

leicester city a team i never thought would ever win the prem in my lifetime mate

by the way GSW surely?
Valid on Leicester City. GSW will not come back from their deficit. Or do you mean you never expected them to host a parade? San Francisco has had some awesome teams.

In that he inherited a really good side with the world's best player, as opposed to building one himself?

(If of course you subscribe to the idea that that's what Pep did, which isn't an opinion everyone shares)

But Curry wasn't the best player in the league until the season Kerr took over.

The jump they took from the end of Jackson's tenure to his was quite remarkable. I don't think at the beginning of last year anyone would have predicted what they've achieved since that point. Ofcourse it's debatable how much of that is due to the improvement of players, Curry and Thompson especially, but not many scouts were predicting Stpeh would achieve this level of performance before he was drafted.

Not for me. I like Kerr much more than I like Pep. That said, he might get outcoached by Billy Donovan here if he's not careful.

Billy Donovan could take Everton and finish in the top four next year. If he knew footy like he knows basketball, that is.

No doubt Curry's health plays some role, but looking back I think the story of this series will be Donovan, not Westbrook
