Decent little player but very raw, doubt he'd make much of an impact in the short to medium term. Two or three years away from Premier League football IMO.

I think he's not far off tbh. Develop him for a year and then he'd be pushing Pienaar for a starting berth.

The notion he's miles off first team football is absurd, the Premier League isn't all that beyond the top 6/7 sides, I mean, even Phil Nevile played 30 odd games for us last season. Redmond will get games here, make no mistake. If you've got pace you've got a chance because the 1 thing opponents hate is pace, it's jut a matter of adding decision making to that which is often the difference between a decent player and a world class one. Martinez is a technical manger so you'd hope Redmond would stand more of chance of maturing here than at most other sides in the league. Good signing for 2/3m imo

Would love us to get this lad, just a proper raw winger that could end up class, or could end up a decent squad player. We can't really go that far wrong with him IMO. If we can get him for £1-2m then it's already looking like the kind of summer we need, bargain youth with good potential.

He may get some games off the bench, and his pace could cause a few problems but I'd be disappointed if he was the only winger we signed this summer. Think we need players that will genuinely improve our first team.

Just the games on Sky Sports, every time I've seen him I've been impressed with him, he plays like Sterling but looks more likely to score.

Looks more likely to score???
He got 2 goals in 42 games last season. Sterling did that in fewer games against stronger opposition.

This time last year, Wigan could have got Wilfried Zaha for 3 million, they didn't and 6 months later he went for 15, Martinez won't want to risk the same thing happening hear I feel.
