2025/26 Nathan Patterson

This is it. Not so much that he is the solution, but the structure of the team was better with a proper fullback.

It’s horrifically obvious that if we can only buy a player to cover one position in January then it has to be a right back. Then we can send him to somewhere where you don’t have to defend at rb.

He's a £20m international right back ffs

Give him a chance now he’s back fit. He wouldn’t even be on the pitch under Moyes if he had attitude issues. He’s clearly worked hard to get himself back into even being in consideration.

Fit? Lad has a 38 inch waist

Held never waste a pie by throwing it any other place than down his neck.
Where the hell are all these “fat” jibes coming from? And not just from you either Dave. Some of you lot are ‘kin mental.

Such an unsavoury aspect of this thread. Body shaming. Despite him being a professional footballer with a team of fitness professionals around him managing his diet and training routine and deciding he is fit to play.

One of those posters previously gave him grief for being a ‘runt’ and now he has bulked up a bit he is a ‘fat meff’.

It’s embarrassing for them.

Considering he’s not played any proper minutes in god knows how long, he did ok against Forest. He lost track of runners and got beaten too easily on a handful of occasions, which is why he’s struggled to get into the team even when he’s the only fit right back available. O'Brien offers more defensive stability.

Having said that, him playing at RB allows O'Brien to play in his proper position and brings some natural balance to the side, even if he (in my opinion) isn’t good enough to help push us on up the table. He linked up well with Dibling.

I’d certainly use him when the onus is on us to get forward and break defences down… the next 2 games could be a good opportunity for him (assuming Moyes trusts him to start).

I’d still be looking to sign a new starting right back this month.

Agreed, I was honestly pleasantly surprised with how he played given he's basically been thrown straight in after playing very little football for a long time

Inappropriate Behaviour
Took you a while sweet nips, get back on rawk you bellend.

Happy new piss boiling patto year to you! 🤣🤣🤣

Ha ha state of you messaging on New Years Eve.

He's a grossly overweight professional athlete. That is shameful. This isnt darts or watching a Gary Glitter concert. Assuming you've not actually seen him in the (mountainous) flesh you should keep your eyes open.

He's an international footy player who's transfer nearly bankrupted the club and is paid millions each year and you're surprised he was "okay"?

Ok, and Cenk Tosun was a £30m international forward who also wasn’t good enough for the prem - what’s your point?

Cenk was an infinitely better player for us than Fatso Patso. In Cenk's defence he had at least one serious injury and was man enough to go out on loan so wasnt the leach Nathan is. Plus Cenk has shown elsewhere his quality. For Patso it's a dozen games for a weak team in Scotland thats it

Pack it in with the constant pedophilia references. It’s not ok and suggests more about you than it does about me.

I takes the most acute injury crisis for him to finally get a start and then we are forced to move a player from number 10 to right back to get him off the pitch and turn off the big flashing ‘danger’ sign that appeared over his head every time to opposition got down his flank

The reason people are so enthusiastic about Dibling's performance the other night is that we saw a 19 year old operating in the PL doing two jobs: his own and the RB job...and up against a very decent Hudson-Odoi.

It was an incredible level of energy he had to spend. I'd love to know how much distance he covered that night.
