Not a fan of Patterson , another in a long line of wasted money but certainly not the worst. He's not overweight, he never nearly bankrupted the club, Dibling didn't have to cover him all night etc. He's just isn't good enough.

Thought he did alright considering it was his first start in however long. I suppose Hudson Odoi is not all that in reality, the balls he did get in were pretty flat and easy to deal with. Seems mad that a defender is getting pelters for clean sheet. Unlikely as it is, be great to see Patterson as an Everton player at the world cup.

If you put his weight, fitness, injuries and desire/willingness to play to one side, and judge him purely on factual metrics such as transfer fee, wages, minutes played and performance level he must be one of the worst pound for pound signings in the history of the club.
