2025/26 Nathan Patterson

The reason people are so enthusiastic about Dibling's performance the other night is that we saw a 19 year old operating in the PL doing two jobs: his own and the RB job...and up against a very decent Hudson-Odoi.

It was an incredible level of energy he had to spend. I'd love to know how much distance he covered that night.

….whilst Dibling’s performance was very encouraging, he didn’t ’cover the RB’ very well. It was evident from the early minutes that he struggles to go with his runners. He did get behind the ball, though, but we were very vulnerable on that side. Looked a little better when Rohl switched.

Looked better when Patterson left the field then?

Ha ha state of you messaging on New Years Eve.

He's a grossly overweight professional athlete. That is shameful. This isnt darts or watching a Gary Glitter concert. Assuming you've not actually seen him in the (mountainous) flesh you should keep your eyes open.

He's an international footy player who's transfer nearly bankrupted the club and is paid millions each year and you're surprised he was "okay"?
That first sentence has to be the worse thing I’ve ever read on here ffs

I takes the most acute injury crisis for him to finally get a start and then we are forced to move a player from number 10 to right back to get him off the pitch and turn off the big flashing ‘danger’ sign that appeared over his head every time to opposition got down his flank

He went off with cramp - Moyes said in the post-match interview.

Not a fan of Patterson , another in a long line of wasted money but certainly not the worst. He's not overweight, he never nearly bankrupted the club, Dibling didn't have to cover him all night etc. He's just isn't good enough.

Cenk was an infinitely better player for us than Fatso Patso. In Cenk's defence he had at least one serious injury and was man enough to go out on loan so wasnt the leach Nathan is. Plus Cenk has shown elsewhere his quality. For Patso it's a dozen games for a weak team in Scotland thats it

I think this poster is a 'unicorn'.

I'm yet to hear or see any Evertonian post or speak like this.

Especially posting such bile on New Years Eve (ironic).

Thought he did alright considering it was his first start in however long. I suppose Hudson Odoi is not all that in reality, the balls he did get in were pretty flat and easy to deal with. Seems mad that a defender is getting pelters for clean sheet. Unlikely as it is, be great to see Patterson as an Everton player at the world cup.

It's strange how people get so defensive of him. If you put his weight, fitness, injuries and desire/willingness to play to one side, and judge him purely on factual metrics such as transfer fee, wages, minutes played and performance level he must be one of the worst pound for pound signings in the history of the club.

Pound for pound works out pretty well for him.

It always amuses me when people think footballers don’t want to play.
