Needs a season in the championship on loan .. that’s a tough league where a young lad can really learn the game. Think he’d get far more out of that than being sat on the bench every week.
He's not sat on the bench though he's played loads I don't understand why people keep acting like he's been frozen out he's had plenty of game time.

Talented young player getting pelts from Everton fans for not being the finished article yet, when he's played less than 50 games in English football - most of these as a sub, in a team going backwards. Never change.
I don't think thats fair in Pattersons case we paid quite alot of money for him and he's been here for 2 years now there has to be a point where you expect him to start looking like it was worth it. I don't think he's that bad but I also don't see that much from him at the moment he just seems average to me I hope he kicks on but he needs to do it soon.

He's started 9 games and had basically 1-15 min cameos in about 15 other games, plenty of time though lol
Yet we’re stilll having this conversation about him. He’s currently 3rd or 4th choice behind young and Coleman ….. I just feel a consecutive run of games in a competitive league would hugely benefit him

I agree but its not the same thing as being sat on the bench every week he is playing a lot he might not even play that much more if he was on loan he wouldn't be the first.
Or, hear me out, give him starts and time to develop, like we did to Mykolenko, as we have no viable long term options at right back, instead of 1 min a night games.
