No, what's the point? lets say he goes on loan somewhere, learns to sort his positional issue out and then comes back much better, Why do we need another manager and his coaching team to sort our problem out for us? That's exactly what we pay Dyche and his team for, they need to give him games and be doing one to one work with him in training, it's not hard ffs, most of us on here could help him with it.

I think that’s a narrow and divisive way of looking at it mate.

I think the lad needs a run of senior football, he needs the expierence of week in, week out games - he’s never had it in his career.

It would be good for the lad and ultimately good for the club.

I’ll put it like this, last year he was arguably ahead of Branthwate in regular first team opportunities...

Sometimes a loan is exactly what a player needs to develop.

We likely won’t because we don’t have the depth, but I think he’d benefit, was the making of Coleman.

Dyche has him taking all the throw-ins down the right and staying back with Tarkowski on corners so the chances of a goal as someone was predicting on here earlier today might be pretty low. Especially when we also play with wingers

With Patterson we saw the same with Mitoma before. Looks shaky and within the first 30mins youre a little bit concerned.

Then bang, the tables have turned and hes well on top of the situation.

He was really good in the last 25 minutes when West Ham were gambling and committing extra men forward to try and get the equaliser.

Great to see the emotion on his face at the end, too. He's obviously been low on confidence but knowing that he's made a vital contribution to an away win in the league should really help him.

He's got the potential to be really good - let's all get behind the lad.

He's the best option we have at right back currently. As I said earlier, I think he was ok today, he grew into the game and had a solid second half. We have to give him a run of games now, he's miles ahead of Young.

Patterson was OK yesterday. Couple of early mistakes but they should reduce with experience. You only get experience though playing more games.

If we had a better assembled squad, a loan as soon as he signed would have been beneficial. Those advocating a loan now seem to forget that the combined cover at RB is over well over 70 years old.

When you factor in the average age (bar Tarkowski) it's quite promising.

Paqueta got the better of him once , he's a quality player.

Antonio skins players much more established than Patterson every time he plays.

It's pointless arguing with dave, he's made his mind up and it won't change. He's making himself look like a right tit in here. I know he likes to be a contrarian and often has different views but in here it's palpable hatred and not a good read.

We have a habit (online at least) of hyper-criticism for our younger players until they start coming good (McNeil comes to mind).
