Hes definitely been a good player in his career byt he missed 37 games for club and country last season at thr age of 30 and likely will be a significant amount of our remaining budget to play in non priority positions if he can stay fit.

Im not against Nathan Ake, I think hes a great player. But if its £30m for a near 31 year old, its just not the strategy we need.

I've never seen him start in midfield but have seen him pop up there as an inverted FB.

I'm sure that he could play as a CDM but need to be if he's played that role before.

I've seen him play defensive midfielder for both club and country. He's got good passing ability, he's composed and he anticipates well. His injury record is the main concern though considering his age

Do you think there’s been any thought at all that potentially playing 2 big lumbering CB’s at full back(Ake & O’Brien) behind two “wingers”(Grealish/Ndiaye) who like to drift/dribble inside wouldn’t be the best combination.

He is really good but he is primarily a LCB. In the Dutch national team he also played quite a few matches at LB so that might be worth it. But why spend a lot of money on a 30 year old player who's best position is the same one as one of our star players? We dont have an infinite budget so we should try to fill in the real problempositions first before spending 20+ mil on a (although very good) versatilty player.

No idea. Possibly looking to next Summer when Keane and Tarks are out of contract? But really they need to be looking at the short term and get a RB and RW in ASAP.

What do you want? Hmmm…a proper right back and a right winger would be nice like before we spend decent money on someone like Ake.
