In my job, I have come across some apt names for folk at businesses.

These are all true.

Vet called Kat

Manager of a shipping company called Mr Funnel

Funeral Director. Mr N Balmer.

Think I might have posted that before.

N. Balmerlol Wonder if he changed his name ?

Black people seem to make up a lot of new names for their daughters (at least they sound new names to me. Maybe they've always existed:

In spoken language the difference is bigger. The first (Gent) is a bigger, interesting city. The second an old mining town consisting mainly of descendants of Italians, Portuguese, Spanish etc. Genk is boring, you don't go there unless you absolutely have to.

Many years ago when I lived in miserable constantly-raining Limerick I was on a bus and a little girl was running about and her mother let a roar out at her...."Pocahontas, sit down right now". lol

I was still laughing a day later. Hope to god they had just watched the movie and were just playing.

If you can imagine that in the Limerick accent its even better.

Not to me it isn't. People have commented on chavvy names and posh names (Katie Hopkins daughters names). The thread is about names and I'm making an observation. If I am being predudiced here it is about what I perceive as people being chavvy (in this case who are black) rather than about black people in general.

Arent most of those names latin/hebrew of origin,Im sure a couple of them are the names of goddesses
