Naismith? Thoughts?

My point was more of playing him out of his preferred position.

I think he'll come good too and at the worst, be a good squad player for us. Not bad for a club with very little money and depth.

Played well today when he came on, always looking to but the ball in the net, has an eye for goal and his movement in the box is good.

None of which suits his position on the wing....

He's a decent squad player, can fill in on the right or behind striker. A useful addition, far better than having Coleman out of position or Anichebe stuck out there.

Still second choice when Mirallas is fit.

I think he'll get better as the season goes on its a big jump from the SPL to the Premier League then most of the time he has been played out of position on top of that, definitely showing signs of improvement and for free i think its going to prove to be a good addition if only for rotation/squad depth.

His a good player, got him for free remembered. Good in the air and work is socks off. A good squad player! He lacks pace and makes him a squad player, not a regular one. Hope he's satisfied with his position, we need him.

Good game for Naisy today. Great squad player, second choice to Mirallis no doubt though. Gives great effort and seems to really know how to poach a goal. Makes good runs. Very happy to have him on the squad. If victor hadn't been such a handful for them today (and Jelavic were more on form) I would have rather seen him come on up top for Vic.

But given the way the game went, I think Moyes got it right. I do think Jelavic needs a complementary player like Naismith though, while Vic and Jela try to play up front the same way - making the same runs, etc.

How the hell Hitzlsperger is prefered in the side to Naismith is beyond me.

He's not that great doing football stuff with his feet but I love that that he constantly goes right for goal and finds the right positions. He did well today and his goals/90 min this year isn't bad.
