I said it earlier in the season; though you can't fault him, it's a Cahill situation. When played off the striker, he plays well and puts in one hell of a shift, but the rest of the team suffer. He lacks the vision, drive or technical ability to thrive in that role. I just think he's the wrong kind of player for the football we want to play.

It's a team game at the end of the day. It seems that Martinez is possibly realising this too, as our best run of form has come at a time when his role has been reduced to last-minute sub appearances.
