How much would he even go for?
Imagine the money saved on wages alone for himself and 3 or 4 or 5 others ....

Ah....the curious case of steven Naismith!

He does my box in. I cringe when I see him starting so many games. And being described by the manager as such an important player for us makes me sad...

However there's just something about him, that despite all that I'd actually be a bit gutted if we sold him.

I'd certainly miss the lectures he gives to other players and refs which is hilarious! And he does pop up with some important goals.

Keep for the squad for a couple more years. Use him right as an impact sub and all's good imo

I remember there being a thread on here early in the season called 'the Naismith/Barkley conundrum' debating what would happen when Ross got back to fitness (the fact that there was even a debate proves that Naismith was performing well). You could argue that Martinez' failure to solve that 'conundrum' has played a huge part in his problems this season and also the form/confidence of both players. Naismith is only 28 and if he can get back to the level he showed at the back end of last season/start of this season then he is well worth holding on to.

There is nothing wrong with Naismith. In fact Naismith is pretty ace when he's played in the proper position and not playing every single match. Did you notice how ace he was in August-Sept, you know when he was rested and the rest of the world was getting back from Brasil?

The problem is that Naismith has been playing every single match in his not proper position.

You mean when the rest of the squad looked like they were 50% match fit ? I would hope for Naismith's sake that he did look better when in comparison at that time. Its no wonder he stood out really.

Naismith should not start games at Everton FC.

Haha ok, he only did well because everyone else was 50% fit lol

Do you even read back the utter tosh you spout before posting?

In comparison to the other players who looked like they were only 50% fit, yes absolutely Naismith was bound to stand out as a player putting in the effort.
