My prediction for England's future

I think the major problem for England is that many of the clubs who provide England players are owned and managed by foreigners. You can just hear the 'advice' these players get as they leave for Penny Hill. 'Make sure you don't get injured'. Then there are the players from these clubs who withdraw from international duty due to 'injury' but play in the next league game.

The biggest problem with english footy is the mentality, especially coming from the fans. You even see it on here where players get criticised for "not putting in a shift" and players that are not very talented but run a lot are revered (eg Straq). Until english fans mature to appreciate players with technical ability rather than a good engine, they wont compete at the very top table.

Eh?

A bit puzzled by your response. You highlight the word 'foreigners'. The dictionary defines the word 'foreigner' as:
'a person not native to or naturalised in the country or jurisdiction under consideration'. Adding the 's' makes it into a generic term which means I don't have to spend time quoting examples such as - American owners and a German manager.

That's certainly a nice list, but only maybe 5 of those are nailed on to be top class and I suspect a lot of other top countries can make a similarly long list. I do like that England looks set to be a contender. I also fear that it might turn the English into a group of tits though.

I wouldn't say any are nailed on just yet apart from maybe Sancho. But yeah I agree England is just one of a lot of countries producing a lot of good players at the minute. The English are a group of tits anyway regardless of how good their footballers are mate.

Quality attacking wise, not so much defensively. Same with the current England team.

I'm curious about some of the CBs in that list. Less heralded than the attacking players but still. Latibeudiare, Guehi and Panzo all playing 1st team already and Harwood-Bellis highly rated at Man City
