My 50kg weight loss challenge

When you start bleeding out of your backside mate its no joke - cameras down & up all because of that GLPI drug for Diabetes .... Ozempic low dose was the one I tried for 3 months - back on insulin now - 13 biopsies thought I had the big C - awful experience - works for some no doubt but ask you self storing food in your stomach to get your weight off is that natural ?-

One jab per week does all that & I was on the lowest dose .....they were just about to double it too ..... My consultant & my GP agreed to stop it it was administered by a top diabetic nurse .....at a clinic .....raving how good it would do me ....

studies in rats showed their active ingredient (semaglutide) caused thyroid tumors, including a rare cancer, but this hasn't been proven in humans, as rats have more GLP-1 receptors in their thyroids than people, and human trials haven't shown a significant risk, though Wegovy carries a warning for possible thyroid tumors and monitoring is recommended, especially with a personal/family history of certain thyroid conditions like MEN2.
Yes - yet they tell people to stop smoking .....

Pancreatic cancer too.... a Diabetic medicine .......where your Pancreas is all ready under performing ?

The thing is, there are a lot of people out there looking for the "easy fix" to solve their problems, but it's not always the best route to take; they get desperate and are willing to try almost anything. I'm not talking about people in this thread, by the way.
Has anyone else noticed that they are getting adverts for these meds and youtube videos (and the like) for them? I presume it's because it's new year and people are susceptible to the ads given people right about now are deciding to lose weight.

I hope that the @the golden visionary and all others losing weight this year go about it in a sensible and healthy way and chase long term sustainability of weight and health goals rather than a quick fix and that does seem to be the prevailing attitude on the thread so more power to you all.

So i need to lose 50kg or my health problems will significantly worsen, on doctors orders.

@Bryan+ suggested I started an accountability thread, which is a great idea, so here goes

Day one weight 154.2kg

Breakfast - 3 scrambled eggs on a sourdough barm

Cals

Best of luck with it mate.

My only wisdom, such as it is, on the matter is this:

You didn’t put the weight on in a few weeks so it won’t drop off that quickly either. Typically anything that does have you losing weight that quickly isn’t sustainable. If you do it with sustainable diet changes, it’ll take time but the weight is likelier to stay off. Also, the weight loss won’t be linear and sometimes plateaus/small increases will happen when your diet suggests you should be losing weight. Don’t get downhearted; push through and it’ll correct itself eventually (usually you just need to drop a hefty log).

My GP told me all these GLP1 group drugs are in their infancy - the main ingredient is from behind a lizards tongue he laughed - his words were not been out long enough stay on insulin that is a natural drug to contain diabetes ....
the origin of drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy, inspired by a hormone (exendin-4) in the venom of the Gila monster lizard, which helps regulate blood sugar and appetite, leading to the popular weight-loss medications. While semaglutide is synthesized, not actual lizard venom, it mimics the lizard's compound, which slows digestion and reduces hunger, though some people experience side effects like dry mouth or changes to their tongue/mouth area due to rapid weight loss.

Most get sickness the tom tits repeatedly & stomach cramps or their stomach are of the Duodenum gets attacked - about 50 % which is very high for any drug ... if you are luck then fine - the Diabetic clinic i wen to that the % I was told - the head guy stated he was reducing prescribing it as expensive & more than uncomfortable to most of his patients ....

Also the rich were buying it & it was becoming scarce .... IMO = mugs .....

So you have first hand experience? Some first hand experiences I have encountered have mentioned a difficulty with appetite - in that eating at all is a chore, that gastric discomfort is a thing, a feeling of being bloated, cold sweats, headaches. The thing is, such a major lifestyle change could mean difficulty staying hydrated or getting enough sleep - it's easy to blame the new medication instead of filtering out the actual cause.
Medicine is hit and miss anyway, some people can't handle a little penicillin...

I am now on insulin & eat two meals a day - lost two stone more naturally - the Ozempic I just did not feel hungry as my stomach was full after something to eat - plus all those side effects hospital visits - it was not for me 50 % are fine with them on the nicotine family -

Nicotine is a natural alkaloid produced by plants of the nightshade family. While cultivated tobacco contains the highest levels (0.5 - 3%) potatoes, tomatoes and eggplants reportedly contain only traces (2-7 µg/kg). Nicotine has been widely used as an insecticide both in plant and animal production.

I used to grow the Nicotine plant cultivated Nicticotiana Officianalis had a lovely white yellow flower with a lovely scent on it ....

Ive done this before mate, but I was in my late 20s, I dropped about 6 or 7 stone, all graft and eating.

Mid 40s ive no doubt will be harder, but I'm a lot more disciplined now so I will be keeping it off.

Ive got a plan of how its gonna go written down.

The nightshade family. That'll be 'Deadly' nightshade wont it.
Sure is I used to use 98% nicotine shreads to fumigate glasshouses it killed most pest on plants now been rightly banned on leaving the Horticulture world pest parasites I used successfully under glass for all pest- costly but safe under H&S
In the 1970s H&S barely existed - Farming still uses insecticide pellets when planting crops a systematic pellet that sadly has taken its toil on the Bee population ....
Even being a vegetarian is dangerous unless it organically grown or grow it yourself ....

Not everyone is affected but chemicals injected into your body with a 50 50 chance of bad side effects is tremendously high average imo .....
