I've been thinking a lot lately about my favourite albums, and what makes a truly fantastic record. Because to me, albums are more important than songs, and in modern popular music, making a good album is secondary to making a catchy song. Remember though, filler is the enemy!!
Anyway, seeing as the 5 star system is the arbitrary quality measurement for music, I'll use that as the face of my question. What albums do you guys think are near perfect/perfect; true 5 star albums? I'm talking albums that excel at what they do. Ones you really have no complaints about; where you wouldn't change a thing. Albums you can't live without.
Here's what I've come up with so far:
There's almost definitely some I've forgotten, but if that list gets any bigger some people might think I'm just naming albums I like
Anywho... back to the more important issue; what albums do you guys think skirt the periphery of perfection?
